Awesome Post!

This is what every beta should read this article. It will clear lot of hot air on being an Alpha.

This brought me a memory of my college day.

The formal ball was coming up and there is a girl I want to take out. I worked up a courage to ask out. She accepted. I was excited.

The night of formal ball, we had a good time. The food, the drinks, and the dance. We head for post party on the party bus.

Guess what?

She decide to go with other guy. My world felt apart. I am on a party bus and I can't leave. I don't even put up a fight. No need to make a scene.

Then the next day with terrible feeling lingers in me. My date who went with other guy wanted to see me. She came and apologize for her action. I didn't nothing but to accept her apologize. The guy who took away from me apologized.

But deep inside me, I know it is me. I didn't create any attraction. I was a beta. I was passive and unchallenged.

I accept my responsibility.

Right after the formal ball, it was a final exam week and then winter break commenced. I had 5 weeks to figure out. I look at my sticking points and see where I need to improve.

Return back to school, there was a sorority event coming up. The theme is Euphoria. It is a great theme to banters and run game around it.

I told myself, "Be a man with backbone." "Tonight, I am going to have a great time, meet new people, and dance my ass off."

With that new unshakable confidence and fun attitude got me a cut in line, free drinks, and I kiss close a woman.

Know what? That woman was the one who ditched me end up digging me.

Attitude make a difference. Being confident do help. It is about you have good time, not pleasing the people.

It is simple as it can be.

Sould really be 'acting like you don't care'. Women don't care if you care or don't care. What they are reacting
to is your attitude, which is conveyed to them by your actions, and to a lesser extent your words. Body language
and tone can easily shows whether one is tied up in an outcome or whether one is 'going with the flow'.
Guess which one is more attractive?
So you can care deeply, just don't show it.
By the same token you can profess you are not attached to outcome but people willm easily catch you fronting if
your tone and body language are not congruent with the 'zen' mindset.

Anon,

Great insight, I'm glad you took the time to comment. I realize the article isn't clear on the relationship between Zen and Buddhism. I'll edit for clarity.

On another note, you are absolutely right that Zen is an incredibly demanding practice. Guys, if you think pickup is hard, try meditation -- it'll really learn ya ;) In fact, try meditation anyway -- it'll give you amazing perspective and afterwards, pickup will seem like a walk in the park.

I can seduce a hundred girls more easily than I can corral my own mind; but once I have corralled my own mind, who knows how many girls I will be able to seduce?

Great article. Just wanted to point out a few things from the Buddhist perspective. Zen isn't different than Buddhism, it's a subset of Buddhism, a branch of Buddhism the way Lutheran is a branch of Christianity. Anyway, I'm sure you know this. Don't get me wrong, I think it's perfectly appropriate to bring non-attachment into the world of pickup, but a true Buddhist would also know that getting the girl will only make him temporarily happy, as all things are temporary and impermanent. He could still engage in the game, but he will be aware of this. Another point, I know that the word Zen has become a part of our vocabulary, as in "relax, chilled, easy going". But as you read about Zen, I'm sure you realize that the practice and the lineage is very difficult, and not for the weak of heart. When I, as a member of the Buddhist community, hears that someone is a true Zen practitioner I think of them as being incredibly well disciplined. Thanks for a well written and helpful article.
